Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and a prominent advocate for good governance in Nigeria, visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday to convey New Year greetings and discuss issues of national importance.

Olusegun Obasanjo, a key figure in Nigeria’s political history, served as the nation’s military head of state from 1976 to 1979 and later became the first democratically elected president in the Fourth Republic. He assumed office in May 1999 and served two terms, leaving office in May 2007. His presidency was marked by significant economic reforms and efforts to rebuild the nation after years of military rule.
Obasanjo remains an influential voice in Nigerian politics and governance, often providing counsel and advocacy on national issues. His decades of experience in leadership continue to inspire and guide discussions on Nigeria’s future.
