Education advocate Alex Onyia is making significant strides in improving school infrastructure in Southeastern Nigeria. One of his latest projects is the renovation of Community Secondary School Ozuitem in Abia State, where his efforts have directly impacted the learning environment for students.
Through his initiative, Onyia has spearheaded repairs and upgrades amounting to N4,698,575. These funds have been allocated to key improvements, including retouching the school buildings, fabricating metal doors and windows for 10 classrooms, and providing 10 new classroom chairs to enhance student comfort and learning conditions.
As of March 4, the renovation work was progressing steadily, with the installation of doors and windows expected to be completed by Thursday, followed by painting set to begin on Friday. Onyia’s efforts ensure that students in the community have a conducive learning environment, free from infrastructural challenges that could hinder their education.
Despite the significant progress made, the initiative currently has a remaining balance of N51,008.89, highlighting the ongoing need for resources to support similar projects in underserved areas.
Onyia’s commitment to education extends beyond school infrastructure. From supporting students in JAMB preparation to assisting young talents like Chidera Ikeoha, his work continues to inspire and create opportunities for young people in the region.
With each renovation and initiative, Onyia is transforming the educational landscape in the Southeast, proving that grassroots efforts can drive real and lasting change.
