Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has made a notable return to social media nearly two months after her highly publicized separation from Nigerian music icon, Innocent “2Baba” Idibia.
Annie’s reappearance on Instagram has sparked widespread reactions, as fans and followers keenly observe her next steps. In what seems to be a symbolic fresh start, the actress has wiped her Instagram account clean, removing all previous posts.
Her marriage to 2Baba, with whom she shares two children, officially ended in January 2025 when the legendary musician publicly announced their separation. Reports indicate that Annie sought rehabilitation following the breakup, while 2Baba has since moved on and is reportedly engaged to Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru.
On Thursday, Annie Idibia expressed her gratitude to her supporters in her first Instagram post since her return. Despite retaining “Idibia” in her Instagram bio, she signed off with her full birth name, Annie Uwana Macaulay, noticeably omitting her estranged husband’s surname.
