Renowned Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face or 2Baba, made a surprise appearance at the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja today, April 2. The tribunal is set to deliver its judgment on the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Asuerinme Ighodalo, seeking to nullify the election of Governor Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

However, what caught the attention of many was 2Face’s presence at the tribunal alongside his new lover, Natasha Osawaru, the lawmaker representing Egor Constituency at the Edo State House of Assembly. If you recall, 2Face split from his wife, Annie Idibia, months ago, and shortly after, he got engaged to Natasha.

Osawaru, who serves as the Deputy Majority Leader in the Edo Assembly, was elected on the PDP platform. Her relationship with the music icon has remained in the public eye, with the couple frequently seen together at social events. Notably, Natasha recently updated her Instagram bio to include 2Face’s surname, ‘Idibia,’ further fueling speculations about their deepening bond.

Meanwhile, all eyes are on the judiciary today, as the nation watches closely to confirm whether the leaked judgment circulating online yesterday was indeed from the court. The leaked document, which surfaced on social media, allegedly contained details of the tribunal’s ruling ahead of the official pronouncement, sparking debates and concerns over the credibility of the judicial process.

With high political stakes and intense public interest, today’s proceedings at the tribunal are expected to provide clarity on both the election dispute and the authenticity of the leaked judgment.
