Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has restated his unwavering commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy and fostering good governance across the state.
In his Easter message titled “Renewed By The Resurrection: Advancing Peace, Unity and Good Governance”, the governor emphasized the significance of the season as a time for reflection, reconciliation, and national unity. The statement, personally signed by the governor and released in Port Harcourt on Saturday, was made available to newsmen.
“As we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, this Easter, I bring you warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations,” Fubara said.
The governor described Easter as a sacred season that brings people together in peace and compassion, reminding citizens of their shared responsibility to uphold values of love, healing, and hope.
“Easter is a sacred season of reconciliation and unity,” the statement reads. “It is a time when the peace of Christ dwells richly in our hearts—restoring relationships, comforting the afflicted, feeding the hungry, and healing the brokenhearted.”
He noted that the season renews the collective confidence of the people, assuring them that no hardship or adversity can separate them from the love and victory found in Christ.
Reaffirming his administration’s development agenda, Fubara stated, “I reiterate my unwavering commitment to delivering good governance to the resilient and dignified people of Rivers State.”
Governor Fubara also called on the citizens to continue supporting the federal government, particularly the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“I urge the good people of Rivers State to support and align with the Renewed Hope Agenda of our dear President,” he said. “The transformation we all desire is achievable when we act together as one people under God, committed to peace, unity, and progress.”
He concluded by extending his Easter wishes to all residents of the state, praying that the risen Christ brings peace, love, and renewal to every home.
