Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructural development following an inspection of ongoing road projects in Aba. Accompanied by the Honourable Commissioner for Works, the governor toured several key roads undergoing construction and rehabilitation, including Port Harcourt Road, Ekeakpara-NNPC Road in Osisioma, Omuma Road, Eziukwu Road, Market Road, Tenant Road, Cameroon Road, Ehi Road, Clifford Road, School Road, and various sections of Asa Road within the city center.
Governor Otti expressed appreciation for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm from Aba residents, acknowledging their shared commitment to transforming the city’s infrastructure. He commended the high-quality work executed by Julius Berger on Port Harcourt Road and assured residents that the project would soon be ready for commissioning.
“With multiple ongoing construction and reconstruction projects across the state, Abia is on track to reclaim its rightful place among economically advanced states with a conducive environment for business and investment,” the governor stated.
He also urged residents to support the government’s efforts by keeping the city clean and ensuring proper drainage maintenance to prevent blockages.
“As we continue to build a better Abia, I call on all residents to play their part in maintaining our city. The progress we are making is a collective effort, and even greater days lie ahead,” he added.
The ongoing road projects are part of the Otti-led administration’s broader plan to revamp Aba’s infrastructure, enhance economic activities, and attract investors to the state.
