Enugu State marked a significant milestone today as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu visited to commission several impactful projects initiated and completed by the administration of Governor Peter Mbah. The projects were showcased during the President’s visit, reflecting the state government’s commitment to progress and development.

In a statement shared via his X handle (@PNMbah), Governor Mbah outlined the highlights of the commissioned projects, which include:

  • 30 Enugu Smart Green Schools: Part of an ambitious plan to construct 260 cutting-edge educational facilities designed to redefine the learning experience.
  • 60 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres: Fully equipped centers established across 260 wards to improve healthcare access for residents.
  • Enugu International Conference Centre: A world-class venue set to make Enugu a focal point for international engagements and economic activities.
  • 90 Newly Completed Urban Roads: Strategically constructed to ease mobility and reduce congestion within urban areas.
  • Command and Control Centre: A modern security hub equipped with 150 AI-embedded patrol vehicles, bolstering security and ensuring public safety.

Governor Mbah emphasized that these projects are integral to his administration’s vision of growing Enugu’s economy from $4.4 billion to $30 billion within the next eight years. Security has been a critical component of this vision, with initiatives like the AI-driven surveillance network and the Distress Response Squad ensuring peace and stability across the state.

“These projects demonstrate our dedication to creating a prosperous Enugu State,” the Governor stated. “We remain committed to transforming Enugu into a hub of opportunity, service delivery, and economic excellence.”

The Governor also reiterated the importance of unity and collaboration to advance the state’s development goals. “As His Excellency President Tinubu noted, the elections are behind us. Now is the time to work together, beyond political differences, to build an Enugu State and Nigeria that uplift everyone,” he added.

Governor Mbah expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu for his recognition and support of the state’s efforts, describing the visit as a testament to the shared vision of progress and development.
