Candidates who took part in the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination can now check their results, according to an official announcement made by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
In a statement released on Sunday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, revealed that candidates can obtain their results by sending the keyword “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number they used to register for the exam.
The mock examination, which was held on Thursday, April 10, is not compulsory. It is primarily aimed at helping students become familiar with the computer-based testing system and for JAMB to test new procedures ahead of the main UTME.
JAMB reported that out of the 200,115 candidates who initially registered for the mock exam, two candidates later opted out. On the exam day, 73,844 candidates were absent, and 88 could not be verified through biometric screening.
A total of 126,181 candidates successfully sat for the mock examination. Of this number, 115,735 results have already been released. However, JAMB noted that 10,446 results are still undergoing processing and will be available shortly.
The examination body also acknowledged that some candidates experienced delays during the test and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused, assuring that steps are being taken to improve the experience in future exercises.
