Suspended lawmaker representing Kogi Central, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has firmly denied recent allegations made by United States-based activist, Dr. Sandra Duru, also known online as Professor Mgbeke.
In a statement released through her media aide, Israel Arogbonlo, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan described all claims made by Dr. Duru as “completely false and deliberately manipulated.”
Dr. Duru, during a Facebook livestream monitored on the evening of May 1, 2025, had accused Akpoti-Uduaghan of fabricating allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio. She also claimed the Senator attempted to bribe her with ₦200 million to falsely accuse Akpabio of organ trafficking.
According to Dr. Duru, she possesses call logs and recorded phone conversations which allegedly prove that the suspended lawmaker fabricated her story. She also criticized Akpoti-Uduaghan for allegedly linking the Senate President to the death of a young woman—a claim she described as “malicious and unfounded.”

“I have carefully watched the live stream published by one Sandra C. Duru on May 1st, 2025. The contents, including the altered voice clips attributed to me, are entirely untrue and grossly manipulated. This appears to be an orchestrated attempt to execute a smear campaign on behalf of Senator Godswill Akpabio.”
She further dissociated herself from controversial remarks allegedly made against respected figures like Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, Dr. Abiola, FIDA, and others, calling the statements “crazy falsehoods.”
