This statement comes amidst growing speculation surrounding Seyi Tinubu’s possible candidacy for the Lagos governorship in 2027, following an endorsement by the Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL). The coalition has expressed strong support for Tinubu, identifying him as the ideal candidate to lead Lagos State, citing his leadership capabilities and forward-thinking vision.
Chief Obidike emphasized that Tinubu possesses the essential qualities needed to drive infrastructure development, foster economic growth, and improve social welfare programs. “Seyi Tinubu embodies the competence and dedication necessary to further the prosperity of Lagos in line with the APC’s overarching objectives,” he remarked.
Although Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has not yet publicly declared his intention to run for governor, his recent humanitarian efforts have generated significant attention. Over the past few weeks, he has been actively involved in distributing cooked meals to almajiris and marginalized communities in northern states, enhancing his reputation as a compassionate leader.
