Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine – A Russian missile strike on a hotel in Kryvyi Rih has left four people dead and over 30 injured, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The attack, which took place overnight, also caused significant damage to surrounding civilian buildings.
Zelenskyy shared a video of rescue teams evacuating victims, showing emergency workers searching through the debris to save lives. He confirmed that the missile struck a hotel where volunteers from a humanitarian organization—comprising Ukrainian, American, and British citizens—had checked in shortly before the attack. Fortunately, they managed to escape in time, avoiding casualties among them.
“All night, a rescue operation continued,” Zelenskyy stated, offering condolences to the victims’ families. He praised the swift response of Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, the National Police, and medical teams working tirelessly at the site.
According to authorities, all injured individuals have received medical assistance, while rescue operations remain ongoing. The Ukrainian president also reiterated calls for increased international pressure on Russia to halt its attacks.
“There must be no pause in the pressure on Russia to stop this war and terror against life,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The attack marks yet another escalation in the ongoing conflict, with civilian infrastructure repeatedly targeted despite international condemnation. Emergency responders continue to clear debris as efforts to assist survivors remain underway.
