Valentine Ozigbo has reacted to a prophecy by Evangelist Ebuka Obi of the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach (ZPMO), which revealed an alleged plot against his life.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Ozigbo expressed gratitude to God and acknowledged the role of spiritual leaders in offering guidance. He specifically appreciated Evangelist Obi for his courage in speaking out about the revelation.
“I give thanks to God Almighty—the author and finisher of our faith, the lifter of my head (Psalm 3:3), and the one who orders the steps of the righteous (Psalm 37:23). To Evangelist Ebuka Obi, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for his courage in sharing what has been revealed,” Ozigbo stated.
Ozigbo reassured his supporters that he remains undeterred by any threats, emphasizing that his mission is divinely guided.
“Let me be clear: I am not afraid. Our mission is divinely directed, and God is my shield (Psalm 91:4). This is not about me; it is about Anambra’s destiny—about a people refusing to be silenced and demanding dignity, security, and prosperity,” he affirmed.
He further criticized any perceived attempts to intimidate his movement, asserting that threats or violence cannot halt their cause.
“If there are those who believe that threats or violence will stop this movement for the emancipation of Ndi Anambra, they misunderstand the power of faith and conviction,” he noted.
Ozigbo also used the opportunity to highlight the worsening insecurity in Anambra State, questioning why the state government had waited until the 2025 election year to establish a security outfit.
“Ndi Anambra are fed up with the killings and the cloud of insecurity in our land. People feel betrayed that our government remained insensitive to these killings and waited three years—until the election period—before addressing security,” he remarked.
He criticized what he described as a “makeshift security arrangement,” which, according to him, has resulted in innocent people falling victim to an inadequate system.
Ozigbo urged those opposing his vision for Anambra to embrace change instead of resorting to intimidation.
“This is not a war of guns or violence. It is a war of ideas—of light against darkness, truth against deception, and hope against fear. Rather than resorting to fear and intimidation, step into the light. A better and brighter Anambra is in your interest, too,” he concluded.
Ozigbo’s statement has sparked reactions among supporters and political observers, as the Anambra 2025 elections draw closer.
If you recall, Ozigbo recently left the Labour Party for the All Progressives Congress (APC) just a few weeks ago, a move that sparked political debate in Anambra State ahead of the 2025 elections.
His statement has drawn reactions among supporters and political observers as the governorship race continues to heat up.
