The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has inspected ongoing road construction projects in Pai and Gomani, two agrarian communities in the Kwali Area Council. The projects include the 15-kilometer Lokoja Road to Pai and the 15.4-kilometer Pai to Gomani road.
During the visit, Wike emphasized the importance of these infrastructure projects, particularly for farmers and residents who have long endured poor road conditions. He expressed confidence that the new roads would significantly improve transportation and boost economic activities in the region.
“These are agrarian communities, and one can imagine how happy farmers will be when these roads are completed. It will ease the movement of their produce and improve their livelihoods,” Wike stated.
The FCT Minister also assured that several key projects would be ready for commissioning by May 2025 as part of activities marking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second anniversary in office.
“Certainly, by May, there will be a lot of projects to be commissioned for the second anniversary of Mr. President. That is certain,” he affirmed.
Wike’s inspection reflects the administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure across the FCT, particularly in rural communities. The projects align with the government’s broader agenda of enhancing road networks and fostering economic development.
